Catania è una città tranquilla, anche di sera e di notte: il centro storico è vissuto e frequentato fino a tardi, per questo potete tranquillamente muovervi a piedi senza preoccupazioni, anche tornando da una serata fuori. Come in ogni città, un minimo di attenzione con borse e oggetti di valore è sempre consigliata, ma non lasciatevi scoraggiare: passeggiare la sera è uno dei modi migliori per vivere Catania come un vero catanese.

Catania is a calm city, even in the evening and at night: the historic centre stays lively and populated until late, so you can comfortably get around on foot without worry, even walking back after a night out. As in any city, keeping an eye on bags and valuables is always wise, but don't let that put you off — strolling in the evening is one of the best ways to experience Catania like a true local.
